Building a Sustainable Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program

Recent events have served as a reminder that managing third-party risk is critical for any organization’s enterprise risk management processes

16-17 Nov 2020
New York, NY, United States of America

Why You Should Attend

Building a Sustainable Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program

To ensure we meet your expectations and maximise your return on training investment, we favour a classroom/workshop style set

This course covers the key elements of a TPRM program, including third-party onboarding, relationship management, continuous monitoring and performance measurement, management reporting and termination of third-party services. It is useful for persons with a range of TPRM experience, from those just starting their TPRM programs to the most advanced practitioners. As the importance of supply chains has increased to your businesses, so has the risk exposure. Existing processes for managing risk based on annual risk assessments of critical third parties are no longer sufficient to mitigate the expanding and emerging risks that businesses face. These risks include cyber, geographic, catastrophic (natural disasters), operational errors, governance failures, financial deterioration and ESG. In order to effectively identify, protect against, detect, respond to and recover from these risks, businesses must evolve to full visibility into, and continuous monitoring of, their extended supply chain (fourth, fifth, nth parties) and all risks that impact it.

New thinking, skill sets, technology and processes are required, along with a bias to action, in order to address new threats and vulnerabilities. We will cover these topics in detail, along with TPRM frameworks and maturity models, regulatory considerations (where relevant), the role of building TPRM program momentum to generate organizational support for the TPRM program, and the importance of embracing and encouraging a trust-based relationship with your third parties to create greater value in your third-party relationships. All of these activities contribute to strengthening your organizationís operational resilience.
