Live Online Workshop: Monetary Unit Sampling and Fraud
To ensure we meet your expectations and maximise your return on training investment, we favour a classroom/workshop style set
Assessing the correctness of your Balance Sheet can prove a painful exercise. Luckily, often complex tasks can become childs play with the right training and tools, and with this live online training course, delivered over two intensive four hour modules, you will learn how to compute the differences in you G/L and P/L accounts just as your external auditors do, The course will also feature a proven web based software that is offered free to all delegates.
Did you know that in many instances, audit samples are LARGER than could have been taken if using a statistical approach! If, with no extra effort, you can mathematically estimate the differences in your accounts shouldn't you do this? Would it not be great if you could control the risk of reaching incorrect conclusions? By attending this course you will have the use of a highly automated software especially developed by the trainer to make statistical sampling for Auditors much less difficult to grasp. Upload your audited account entries to the tool and let the software do all the math. Just concentrate on testing the sampled entries, input your results and obtain all the working papers you need- including the audit conclusions! Computerized case files will be utilized from which the delegates may draw their samples to provide a practical, realistic experience.
Challenges we will discuss:
Can I use a statistical approach without a solid math background?
Is there a way I can ensure I am not under/over auditing?
How can I prevent management disagreement to my recommendations?
How do External Auditors carry out their test? How can I do the same?
How can I support the External Auditors and make savings on their fees?
With the right teaching approach, even complex matters become simple to understand. Through a practical, pragmatic learning path you will be able to master all you need to proficiently apply a statistical tool especially developed for Internal Audit Teams.
