28-29 Oct 2019
Hilton Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom

Why You Should Attend

Machine Learning for Credit Risk Modelling and Decisioning

To ensure we meet your expectations and maximise your return on training investment, we favour a classroom/workshop style set up for the delivery of our courses. Please note we therefore have a limited number of spaces available and these will be assigned on a first come, first accepted basis. We recommend early booking to avoid disappointment.

How will you benefit?

Identify areas of your company that can benefit from machine learning

Communicate effectively with colleagues who manage or are on technical teams that implement machine-learning models

Understand the implications of using various kinds of models in your commercial and regulatory environment

Ensure that your compliance team correctly addresses the use of machine-learning

Explain to internal stakeholders and to customers how risk decisions are made

Learn from a practical case study which will be used to illustrate concepts throughout the seminar

About your expert trainer:

Hershel Safer, Founder and Consultant, Safer Analytics Ltd.

Hershel has more than 35 years of experience developing mathematical models to understand and optimize systems for a variety of applications. He is the founder of Safer Analytics Ltd., a machine-learning consultancy for the finance industry. He has worked on machine-learning models to assess credit risk for fintech startups that do invoice factoring and other kinds of business financing. He has also developed AI tools for financial institutions, including process improvement for banks and algo trading for hedge funds. Hershel has a PhD from MIT in operations research and an undergraduate degree from Yale in applied mathematics and economics.

Pre-course questionnaire:

A detailed questionnaire will be sent to all course participants to establish exactly where the group training needs lie. The completed forms will be analysed by the course leader/trainer and followed by telephone if further clarification is required. As a result we can guarantee that the course is pitched at exactly the right level and that the issues that you regard as relevant are addressed. The course material will reflect these issues and will enable you to digest the subject matter after the event in your own time.
