As a result of that credit risk modelling has become a key tool in setting and managing enterprise wide strategic objectives, helping a financial institutions in quantifying, aggregating and managing risks across geographical and product lines. In this course we will show how these models can be used to a firm’s advantage by exploring their uses in reserve setting, pricing and marketing, stress testing, risk management and strategic planning to make sure that your institution stays on top of the global industry standard as well as complies with regional regulatory requirements. 

About your expert trainer:

Charles (Chuck) Jacobsis an independent consultant specializing in risk management and other quantitative analysis, primarily for the financial services industry.

He began his career with Oliver, Wyman (in their second year), where, along with engagements in general business strategy, profitability improvement and organizational design, he helped develop some of the quantitative risk management practices that are now industry standard. His clients included leading financial institutions in North America, Europe and Australia, and his eight years with the firm took him around the globe.

Chuck then spent over eighteen years working in industry in various roles, including marketingproduct development, business strategy and risk management for Bank One, JPMorgan Chase, Fifth Third Bank and Nationwide Insurance.

In 2012, he returned to consulting, founding Charles Jacobs Consulting, LLC.

Chuck holds bachelor degrees in engineering and accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
