“Gain an in-depth insight into the operational, legal and risk aspects of using OTC clearing”
How will you benefit?
The moves by regulators in the US (CFTC) and Europe (the European Commission) making central clearing of standardised OTC (ISDA) products compulsory, and for trading to take place on electronic trading platforms (SEFs or OTFs), means a structural change in the foundations of the market infrastructure for OTC derivatives. These changes will have multiple effects on participants in the market, and this course aims to provide you with the knowledge to anticipate and plan for these changes, and provide your organisation with an advantage in preparing for the market overhaul.
In addition to the core modules shown above, the course will include an optional third day covering advanced modules on regulation and legal aspects in relation to Central Counterparty Clearing. These modules will be covered by Adam Ward & Anna Iversen.
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
· Formulate a strategy to adapt to the new regulations for yourself, your team your department or your entire organisation
· Anticipate where technology change will be required
· Be aware of the global activity in clearing, and the OTC market infrastructure
· Provide yourself with an insight into the operational, legal and risk aspects of using OTC clearing
